Research Interests: Collaborative economy, gender aspects and governance of a socio-ecological transformation, post-growth discourse, platform cooperatives
As a political economist with a focus on sustainability, I am interested in how the transformation of the sharing economy must be framed politically in order to develop in a social and ecological manner. Already during my studies I dealt with different questions regarding the socio-ecological transformation. In particular, I see great potential in cooperative and collaborative economies: be it in production, as tested e.g. by the Maker movement in open workshops, in collaborative consumption made possible by sharing platforms or in collaborative forms of organizations such as cooperatives. Hence, I am very curious about the dynamics unfolding in the platform economy around the concept of platform cooperativism and I am interested in which way governance structures can promote socially and ecologically positive dynamics.
I support platforms2share both in terms of content and organization as a research assistant at the Institute for Ecologic Economy Research (IÖW) in Berlin.
