In their recent book chapter in the edited volume „Collaboratives in the Digital Age“ (2019), Theurl and Meyer explore the emergence of the Sharing Economy and problems arising from the Platform Economy. The authors consider Platform Cooperatives as a possible solution to these problems and sketch out a typology of Platform Cooperatives, classifying them in terms of their applicability for the Sharing Economy.
